In 2010, Hirosaki University launched the “Educational Program for Professionals in Radiation Emergency Medicine.” In line with its mission to advance the field of radiation emergency medicine globally, the university decided to establish an academic journal. Since 2012, Hirosaki University has been publishing Radiation Emergency Medicine. However, with the need to broaden the range of research, the editorial board has chosen to rename the journal to Radiation Environment and Medicine.
Aims and Scope
Radiation Environment and Medicine is peer-reviewed journal which publishes high quality scientific articles like Review, Regular Article, Note and Others (Short Commentary, Opinion, Letter to Editors, Project Reports) on all aspects related to Radiation Environment and Medicine (epidemiological study, biological effect, dose assessment, education, radiochemical analysis, radiation nursing, health physics, radiation measurement, and clinical activities etc.).
In 2010, Hirosaki University initiated a program, the “Educational Program for Professionals in Radiation Emergency Medicine”. To contribute to progress in radiation emergency medicine worldwide, Hirosaki University determined to publish an academic journal. Then since 2012, Hirosaki University has issued Radiation Emergency Medicine. And in view of the current situation, the editorial board elected to change the journal name to Radiation Environment and Medicine as the continuation of Radiation Emergency Medicine.
